Connect the pole and the vacuum head to one end of the hose. Submerge the hoover head and the hose in water to fill it and prevent air pockets from collecting inside it. Connect the hose to the pool's suction intake, open the suction valve, and strangle the flow of water through the sump and skimmer valves. This improves the circulation speed of the water through the suction pipes, and hence the suction force of the hoover head. When performing this operation, care should be taken to avoid the formation of air pockets. This can be corrected by gradually opening the sump and skimmer valves. After each use of the hoover head, clean the filter and the pump's prefilter.

This hoover head range is intended to evacuate a flow dictated by a circulation speed ranging from 1.22 to 1.52 m/s during suction.

If the hoover head exceeds this speed, it may become stuck to the pool floor.

NOTE: To prevent excessive adhesion, you can use the suction valve or remove one of the rubber deflectors to limit the flow.
