When it comes to pool maintenance, chlorine is widely regarded and shown to be the most effective and cost-effective chemical. Though it is recommended for all types of pools, the product also works well with vinyl or polyester pools because it does not stain or discolor them.

Super chlorinating the pool with CTX chlorine shock granules guarantees that almost all bacteria is killed in this process; however, to ensure that the pool is completely free of bacteria, it is best to use Long lasting chlorine 24 hours after the chlorine shock process. Checking the pH level of the pool water before applying the chemicals is strongly advised; this ensures that the chemicals have the greatest possible effect. It is better to begin the procedure at sunset.

Instructions:

Step 1: Adjust the pH correctly before applying any product to maximize its effectiveness.

Step 2: Introduce the required amount of product into the skimmers and then switch on the filter equipment; the substance will dissolve as it moves through the skimmers. It is also feasible to evenly distribute the product around the surface of the swimming pool, ideally in the evening and when there are no swimmers present.

Step 3: The free residual chlorine level should be between 0.5 and 2 mg/l. This level is easily confirmed using a chlorine and pH test, and it should be checked at least twice daily.

NOTE: It is advised not to utilize the pool for 24 hours following the Chlorine shock treatment.
