The filtration system of the pool eliminates the waste that microbiological organisms ingest. The greatest pool filters can eliminate more than 99 percent of unwelcome particles, significantly enhancing the quality of the water.

The range of AstralPool Vesubio laminated sand filters has been widened to include both public and private pools.  Its filters are manufactured with simultaneous resin and fiberglass casting, a fitting cover, and sturdy screws.

The selection valve includes a handle with 6 positions that can be used to choose any of the actions required to get the filter to operate at its most effective level:

• Filtration

It is advisable to continuously evaluate the pressure gauge while in this position because it shows how saturated the filter is. It is recommended to perform a "backwash" when the pressure reaches 18.5 PSI.

• Backwash

Each load of sand creates hundreds of channels that catch all the debris trapped in the filtering process. With the main drain and return valves open and the selection valve turned to the "BACKWASH" position, turn on the pump and let it run for two minutes. The dirt that was obstructing the filter will have been eliminated after this procedure is finished.

• Recirculate

When the selection valve is in this position, water from the pump can be directed straight to the pool, bypassing the filter's interior.

• Waste

This position is being used when the swimming pool is needed to be drained. To ensure that the pump has enough suction, the main drain valve is left fully open while the motor is operating.

• Rinse

This position is used to make sure that the filtered water gets straight to the drain after the filter and backwash process.

• Closed

This position is used to open the pump's collector prefilter and to shut off the flow of water from the filter to the motor.
