Splash zones are relatively new constructions at the market of water entertainment services. In the process of developing the infrastructure of water areas at the water park and hotel water zone, there were water slides and attractions, aimed at the adult category of visitors from 16 years old and above, at the younger age of 5 years. All of them required a certain height, as they were installed on the side of the pool or in the pool. The category of very young visitors was not covered. This category of kids from 2 years old, who also wanted to frolic in the water. The fact that children's pools in which were set children's attractions for kids from 5 years, according to international standards of construction should be a depth of 40-60 cm - this depth is not safe for kids under 5 years.
Manufacturers of water attractions have developed splash zones, thanks to which children who can only crawl can already enjoy water and play with it. Over time, it turned out that splash zones are interesting for older children as well.

Technology of splash zones

The splash zones consist of animated figures that spray water. Some of them allow children to direct the stream in a certain direction. The supply of water to the animation figure is carried out by a dry-running pump, most often several elements per pump. Water is taken from a bowl of water, which is located near the splash zone underground. Water from the splash zones drains into this bowl and flows back from it. Like in the normal swimming pool, the water from the bowl has to pass the obligatory processes of filtration and disinfection.

Splash zones can be of different shapes and configurations. The number of pumps, filters and their capacity depends on the number of elements in the splash zone.
