By electrolyzing salt water, DAGEN produces chlorine for use in swimming pools When a solution is electrolyzed in a cell, chlorine gas is produced, which is subsequently broken down in the water to produce chlorine, which is used to sterilize swimming pools.

The controls make it easy for users to adjust the chlorine production as needed, and it is simple to install and manage. Additionally, it is built to be energy-efficient, having a low voltage output that lowers energy usage.

The salinity (TDS) is kept as low as possible via DAGEN Electrolysis & Hydrolysis of Salt Water, which primarily uses free radicals for disinfection and a very small quantity of free chlorine for residual disinfection. Even at salinities (TDS) of only 800-1500 mg/l (0.8-1.5 kg/m3), the DAGEN Salt Chlorinator can produce enough chlorine for latent treatment.

In addition to improving the water's hardness and phosphate removal, the DAGEN Activator also raises the salinity to the ideal level. For bacteria and algae to thrive, phosphorus is a crucial ingredient. Typically, 1 kg of salt (NaCl) or DAGEN Activator (MgCl2) is all that is needed per m3 of pool water.

Additionally, since there are so few elements present, levels of chlorides (Cl-) are kept below 1.4571 stainless steel (316)'s 600 ppm rust threshold.

Recommendation:

For the device to work properly and for optimum performance, it is recommended to be operated at a pH of 7.4 and an alkalinity of greater than 100 mg/l in order to produce a neutral LSI (langelier Saturation Index) and lower the danger of corrosion.
