In a swimming pool, a manifold is a water distribution system or apparatus used to bring numerous valves together in one location or a single channel into a region where numerous points converge. Manifold systems can be as basic as supply chambers with various exits or as complex as flow control devices with several chambers.

The manifold is designed to make it possible for water to pass through the DE grids before it leaves the filter and helps ensure appropriate flow and pressure through the filter. The air bleeder component found on most manifolds enables air in the tank to be forced out into the pool.

The water manifold for the AstralPool is made of ABS plastic, comes in a variety of sockets, and is often used with 20 mm flexible PVC pipe. The materials are more durable to use and are made to withstand extreme temperatures, corrosion, and aging.
